Postcard of ManlyWeek One: Manly / Sydney

We spent the first week of our visit to Australia in October / November 1997 in Manly, just across the harbour from Sydney. 12 of Bill's relatives from England went out to Sydney for the wedding. We arrived on 3 different aircraft within an hour of each other. A minibus picked us all up from the Airport.

We rented an apartment overlooking Manly beach. Here's the view from the apartment with me (Keith) and Harry on the balcony:

We spent the 5 days leading up to Bill & Kim's wedding visiting places in Sydney such as the Hard Rock Cafe, Planet Hollywood, the Sydney Aquarium (the seals viewed from underwater were lovely) and the Sydney Tower.  Here's our first trip on the Manly Ferry into Sydney...

Here's me (looking very sunburnt) at the top of the Sydney Tower (the tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere) looking down at the BT building. Charlotte is looking at the Australia Museum where we spent many happy hours reading about the aboriginal culture (before visiting it a week later):

Bill & Kim's wedding was held at a nature reserve overlooking the beach and was lovely. Below are right are Emily and Charlotte all dressed up for the wedding. Next are Harry, Claire and Jessica. Then comes the wedding party and Bill and Kim looking happy afterwards:
