I am an artist living in Kelsale, Suffolk, England. I have been an artist for over 20 years and paint mainly in oils. I specialize in landscapes, sunflowers, poppies, etc. I also work on installations and with children.
My work relates to the ideas of postmodernism and of global multiculturalism. The main concerns in my work relate to ideas of multicultural influence, concerning spirituality, art, aesthetics, societies and culture.
I am a painter, sculptor, craftsperson and installationist, working in multimedia, ranging from soil, sand, clay and pigment to plastics, artificial lighting and video.
The aesthetics in my work are concerned with space, illusion, light, tone, cyclic time, materials, application and composition, all related to balance and contrast, pattern and scale.
I have the questioning of a Modernist, and the freedom of a Postmodernist, becoming more aware of global cultural diversity and its histories, this has made me search to make works of a more multicultural influence.
My recent work uses traditional Western mediums, oil paint, canvas etc. with a wide range of other materials that combine 2D and 3D elements, trying to relate both western and global influences in art, aesthetics and culture.
I am also interested in theatre and performance arts in which I can incorporate my ideas combining the visual elements in my work with the use of the human body and movement with language, music and sound.

I have more in this style but I'm now working more in the following styles...
