Katie and I spent a weekend in Venice from 1-5 November 2001. We stayed at the Hotel Bellini near the Ponte degli Scalzi and visited absolutely everywhere you can imagine (as you can see from the photos!), including St Marks Square, the Basilica and the Campanile, the Peggy Guggenheim museum and sculpture garden, and Murano (unintentionally by night following a serependipitous choice of vaporetto)!
The weather was perfect! The most fun part was just being able to wander around the streets and get lost and to take vaporetto rides whenever and wherever we felt like it.
